Before you replace it
- Check for dishes obstructing the dispenser and follow the model manual for cleaning residue. If the latch or spring mechanism is damaged, confirm the exact diagram item before opening the door panel.
Compare the actual package.
Compare the exact reference, quantity and model evidence before comparing cost. Retailer prices are dated observations; shipping and tax are extra unless the seller says otherwise.

A few useful answers.
Does a shared model prefix confirm fit?
No. Only the complete model listed in the evidence has been reviewed. An unlisted revision is unknown, not a confirmed mismatch.
Is this the same spring as WP8066018?
No. WP3368999 identifies the actuator/drawbar mechanism, while WP8066018 is a separate lid spring. Check their individual diagram positions even if a model uses both.
Is Kenmore 66517795790 now confirmed by two publishers?
No. That complete model still has one reviewed publisher. Corroborating other models or the part identity does not upgrade its confidence.
Does the retailer phrase door spring mean the main door?
Not for this record. Some generic retailer descriptions are misleading. The reviewed identity is the detergent-dispenser actuator/drawbar spring, not a spring balancing the main door.
