Read beyond the range family

NX58F5500SS is a useful family name for finding the range. DG64-00472A now has separate evidence for NX58F5500SS/AA-00 and AA-01, while the model overview still reviews five components only for AA-01. Evidence for one knob on AA-00 does not verify the igniter, sensor, panel or board on that revision. Keep the slash and complete revision when you search.

The three separate references here are DG64-00472A, DG64-00473A and DG94-00945A. DG64-00473A includes full models such as NX58H5600SS/AA-01; DG94-00945A has a smaller corroborated subset including NX58H9500WS/AA-01. Its other listed revisions may have one publisher only. A shared finish or seller photograph does not establish interchangeability.

Identify the exact control

Record which control position needs attention and locate it in the full-model diagram. Compare the pointer orientation and shaft opening with the original part. Check the written quantity in the retailer listing. A replacement advertised as a set may contain several pieces while the catalog reference identifies a single component; compare the contents explicitly.

Use the model label illustration below as a reminder to keep model and part numbers separate. The model belongs to the appliance. The part number belongs to a replaceable component. If a number on the old knob differs from DG64-00472A, investigate that number rather than assuming it is a formatting variation.

Know when a knob is not the next step

A visibly damaged knob is different from a burner that lights unreliably or a control that will not turn normally. Use qualified service for gas or valve concerns. Do not force a stuck control, remove gas fittings or run a burner to test a speculative replacement. The catalog explains identification and evidence, not a live diagnostic procedure.

Continue with the full model

The NX58F5500SS overview also links to an igniter, temperature sensor, bottom panel and control board documented for the reviewed revision. Those are distinct parts for different issues, not alternatives to the knob. Select your complete model before opening a fit result, then review each component independently. Confirm retailer compatibility and returns before installation, especially when the source list does not include your exact suffix.

Before you choose

Does appearing in this category confirm my model?

No. Check the complete model on the individual part page. A shared family, brand or part type does not establish fit.

What if my model is missing?

Our catalog is a reviewed subset. Keep the full suffix and ask the retailer to confirm the exact diagram item. An unlisted model is unknown, not a confirmed mismatch.
