Whirlpool range knobs

Identify a Whirlpool range knob by the complete appliance model, control position and documented replacement number.

Category membership does not confirm fit. Keep the complete model suffix when you search.

Start with the control you need

A range can have several controls that look similar from the front. Identify the burner position or oven control involved before comparing replacement knobs. Record the complete appliance model from its label, then find that control in the model-specific parts diagram. The reference on the diagram is a better starting point than the finish or diameter in a marketplace photo.

Compare three separate references: W11517334, W10766544 and the black WPW10339442 knob. For example, WEG745H0FS0 is documented for W11517334, WFG540H0AS0 for W10766544, and WFG320M0BS0 for WPW10339442. These examples do not establish interchangeability. W11517334 also records the older numbers W10850033, W11122869 and W11458842; number history does not extend fit to every Whirlpool range.

Check the mounting details

Compare the shaft opening and the position of the pointer with the original component and the diagram. Check whether a separate bushing is required and whether the retailer includes it. A listing for one knob should not be read as a complete set, and the photograph may show accessories that are sold separately.

Use the illustration below to keep the appliance model and the part number separate. Enter the model in the fit check on the part page. Enter an older part number in the site search to follow its documented replacement. If your complete model is missing, ask the retailer to confirm it before ordering.

Separate damage from a control fault

With the range off and cool, visible cracks or a worn opening may help identify damage to the knob. A valve that is stiff, a burner that will not shut off normally or a gas odor needs qualified attention. Replacing the knob is not a diagnosis of the valve or ignition system. Do not force a control or alter its shaft to make a replacement fit.

Before comparing prices

Open the exact part record to review its source links and model evidence. Confirm the number, quantity, bushing requirements and installed-part return policy on the retailer page. Keep a photograph of the label and the old part with your order details so any discrepancy can be explained precisely. Prices and availability are observations at the recorded date, so check them again before purchase.

Before you choose

Does appearing in this category confirm my model?

No. Check the complete model on the individual part page. A shared family, brand or part type does not establish fit.

What if my model is missing?

Our catalog is a reviewed subset. Keep the full suffix and ask the retailer to confirm the exact diagram item. An unlisted model is unknown, not a confirmed mismatch.
